Why is Horror so scary?
Horror is the genre that is meant to frighten the audience and scare the audience with a bunch of film strategies. These movies have been always popular to people who like that intense fear in them.
Content:
The content that contains in the Horror genre is to develop a atmosphere of Horror and to put the audience on edge. The content can contain comedy Horror, Science fiction Horror, and other types of Horror. What scares the audience the most is the masked people, killers, ghosts, and possessed people. A good Horror film should always make the audience fear in order for the audience to get scared, without any fear the horror movie will not be so good.
Techniques:
Horror has a bunch of content techniques that will make the content of the genre Horror. The techniques can include jump scares, over extended scenes, mirror and reflection etc. Most Horror content contain a lot of jump scares such as the movie The invisible man and A quiet place. A lot of sounds are used in Horror movies to make the viewer fear. Sounds as in suspense and any loud obnoxious sounds that will make the viewer fear will be a technique. Suspense can be built up by songs or sounds before a jump scene to maximize the viewers fear.
Marketing:
The audience that will be watching most of these movies will be in the 15-20 year old range. Although some females like Horror, the stereotype will be leaning more to the male side. Most Horror movies use creativity more than money and usually show more of what the viewers want to target those that like Horror type movies. A lot of Horror movies like to create suspense witch attracts the audience more because when looking for a Horror movie the audience will like to feel fear and the suspense you get in your body.
